When you practice face yoga, you’re not just improving how your face looks; you’re nurturing yourself from the inside out. It’s a reminder that sometimes, the smallest, simplest acts can bring the greatest joy and relaxation.
We start with a gentle seated yoga practice to release neck, back and shoulder tension for improved posture, balance, co-ordination and body awareness.
We move on to the face where we incorporate, acupressure, facial massage, facial exercises, with breathwork and energy work weaved in throughout.
Modified Ashtanga (Based on the Primary Series) TBA via Zoom 7-8.15pm

A predominantly firey flow based on the Ashtanga vinyasa method of yoga (but don’t don’t worry you don’t have to be super athletic or super flexible!) My version is completely modified and suitable for beginners to experienced.
There’s plenty of time spent mindfully pausing in the postures with the main focus very much on energy and breath, co-ordinating your movements with the breath as a way to steady and calm the mind.
The set sequence practiced with awareness, is designed to work as a moving meditation, where the transitions from each posture to the next are as important as the postures themselves.

A little information about me ~
Hi I’m Shalena, I’m qualified in a range of holistic therapies including Aromatherapy Massage, Reflexology and Reiki. In 2022 I completed my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training with a focus on the Ashtanga Primary Series. A fiery-disciplined, meditative flow of breath and movement, and I soon began to teach a modified version that felt more accessible.
In 2024 I felt drawn toward offering a softer, more nurturing yin-inspired practice, but I wasn’t sure what shape it would take. I spent time exploring ideas but nothing quite clicked until quite organically, I discovered Face Yoga. I was curious about the potential benefits and keen to incorporate this practice into my own personal wellness routine. I quickly discovered that the benefits go far beyond maintaining a youthful appearance. It felt so relaxing and helped me to feel calmer and more grounded. It gave me an inner sense of peace and connection and blends beautifully with breathwork, mindfulness, and self-care rituals.
Inspired by the results, I went on to complete not one but two Face Yoga Certifications (including the Danielle Collins Face Yoga Method - World leading Face Yoga Expert) so that I could combine all of my previous experience and knowledge and share this beautiful practice with others who are curious to explore the path too.
